GECC Lightning Talks Series
For the annual meeting this year, GECC is launching a panel that will feature up to eight short presentations of 5–10 minutes, with or without visual aids. These talks provide an opportunity to present in-progress research and other topics not yet developed into full-length conference papers. Possible topics include:
-An argument from your current work (e.g., dissertation or journal article)
-Initial findings from side projects or archival research
-Pedagogical questions
-Field-based or experience-driven observations
This panel will also serve as a mentoring opportunity. While details are still being finalized, the current plan is to pair each presenter with a mentor who will review their talk and meet for a chat afterward.
Please submit this form ASAP for consideration. Please be available via email for any last-minute questions.

We will assess our digital footprint and discuss ways that we can take control of our personal information. We will ‘think like doxxers’ in order to discover what information about us is available online, including on our social media accounts, and what we can do to remove it.
